Today is a big day for Swirian because of the Swire Hall Farewell Dinner 2010 is held in North Point Harbour Plaza.

Today is also the Presentation of ICG I.T. Entrepreneurship Award 2010 for the awardees of Swirian namely, Mr. Andy NG Pui Lam, Ms. Angel LUN Ka Yi, Mr. LEE Chi Wai.

The reasons why Mr. Andy Lau set up a fund for Swirian are simple. He’s profit remarkably from being a Swirian, so he’d like to give something back to Swire. Reason 2 is that he knows not many students are IT majors, however, he’d like to bring to all’s attention that they must be critical that IT is really evolving at a high speed and it is shaping the lives of our world.

This is the first year this award began, Andy would like to thank Warden Dr. Sam Chu and all the tutors and the excos who helped making it happen,Mr. Elgin Tam, Mr. Joe Lam, Mr. Hong Fung and many more. The competition is very keen even for this first time, and we’re anticipating keener competition for the coming year and hope to raise awareness about Green IT among more students.
