跑DevOps開發的時候,很重要的一個infra是程式碼的儲存庫,也就是code repository,目前常見的有AWS CodeCommit, GitHub, Gitlab等幾種,各自有各自的優缺。GitHub是open source,所以並不太適合將公司的開發程式放上去,一般企業都會選擇Gitlab作為code repo,他可以架設在公司內部網路的機器上,實體或虛擬都可以,再來上傳程式碼的時候,也需要ssh key,很符合團隊的需求。

Docker是在DevOps過程中很多團隊會採用的一種技術。Docker是一個開源專案,最初是dotCloud公司內部的一個專案,後來加入Linux基金會,原始碼便放在GitHub上進行維護。Docker的目標是實作輕量級的作業系統虛擬化解決方案,它的基礎是Linux容器,並在上面進行封裝,所以操作docker container就像操作一個輕量級的VM一樣。

最近在『DevOpsGuys Blog』中看到了一篇文章,它用了F1賽車影片當作一個範例,以1950年代與現代的狀況做一個區別。在1950年,在車輛停下做保養時,有一個人專職換輪胎,一邊換完再去換另一邊,另一個人負責加油,團隊人數大約五人左右,總共費時大約一分多鐘才完成。而現代的情況則是整個團隊共同幫忙換輪胎,團隊人數大概有20人,大約只花費三秒鐘就讓賽車重回賽道。
